When you look at your state tax forms each year, do you ever
wonder how in the world we got to this place? We probe the scintillating, complex world of tax
structures. Last session, the
legislature created the three-person Blue Ribbon Tax Structure Commission to
examine Vermont’s tax
system. The panel’s members, Bill
Schubart, Kathy Hoyt, and William Sayre join us to explain how our tax
structure was created.
Also, Cuban artist Aluan Arguelles has been in Vermont
since September. After completing a
month-long residency at the Vermont Studio
Center in Johnson, Arguelles is now
displaying the paintings he completed during his residency at the Colburn
Gallery at UVM. We visit with him at the gallery,
and take a look at his work.
