An early morning fire has displaced 17 people in downtown Springfield.
Officials say the fire heavily damaged the seven-unit apartment building.
Red Cross officials are working with the tenants of five of the apartments, including a family with five young children, to find them emergency housing.
WCAX-TV reports that one person received minor injuries escaping the fire.
