Many, many cats will soon be up for adoption in the Montpelier area. The Central Vermont Humane Society is currently rehabilitating dozens of cats and kittens removed from a cat hoarder.
Animal rescuers discovered 75 cats and kittens in the woman’s home in Bethel. Rescuers with the spay-neuter clinic V-T-Can said they were pulling kittens out of the walls, where the mothers had crawled to give birth.
While most of the animals are still receiving medical care, more than a dozen of the healthiest cats have already been adopted.
