Presidential candidate Howard Dean’s campaign spokeswoman is resigning. Press secretary Susan Allen says she’s leaving the presidential campaign effective April eighth. But Allen says, she still plans to work as a consultant to the former Vermont governor on speeches and on debate preparation.
Allen’s resignation is the second senior staff change for Dean in the past several days. Campaign Manager Rick Ridder announced over the weekend that he will leave the campaign on April 15th. Dean’s longtime media consultant, Joe Trippi, has been hired as campaign director.
