Governor Douglas has declared May “Military Appreciation Month.” One of the activities for the month is sponsored by the Waterbury American Legion. The Post will bring its United Service Organizations show to several communities.

The USO show performances have been in rehearsal for several weeks. They’ll benefit a contingent of Vermont veterans traveling to Washington for the World War Two memorial dedication ceremony on Memorial Day.

Vermont will be represented by the largest single contingent of veterans within the United States. The first USO performance is Friday at the American Legion in Barre.
