Retired Middlebury College Political Science Professor Eric Davis looks at who is considering running for state-wide office in the 2012 election cycle. Davis says that candidates for the Senate, U.S. House and Governor need to decide about a year before the filing deadline for these races, which is June 2012. He notes that the decision of one person to run or not run can start a domino effect. The person he thinks who needs to make up his mind first is State Auditor Tom Salmon.
