Ten protesters are facing charges following a two-day anti-nuclear demonstration near Entergy Nuclear offices in Brattleboro.

The protesters, from Vermont and Massachusetts, were arrested yesterday for failing to comply with officers and failing to leave private property.

Many of those arrested had walked from downtown Brattleboro in a march commemorating the 27th anniversary of a nuclear accident at Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania.

The group is opposed to the plant’s plans to boost its power output by 20%. They also are opposing Vermont Yankee’s plan to seek a 20-year extension of its license, which is currently set to expire in 2012.
