As Obama Comes To Town, Memories Of Clinton’s Visit

A rather high-profile visitor comes to Vermont today. President Barack Obama is scheduled to arrive in South Burlington this afternoon, and then after a fund-raising event at a hotel, he’ll head to Burlington for a campaign speech at the University of Vermont.

The last time a sitting President came to the state was in 1995, when then-President Bill Clinton paid a visit-also to Burlington.

Someone who remembers that event quite well is Kate O’Connor, who helped organize the Clinton visit in her capacity as an aide to then-Governor Howard Dean.
