Chicken pie suppers are a staple of New England autumns, but there might not be a chicken pie supper anywhere quite like the one up in the Northeast Kingdom town of Groton. The 876 residents serve more people than populate the town—they prepare and cook 1000 dinners. And most of the food is brought over to the old school gymnasium from their home kitchens. As part of our ongoing series of postcards from Vermont towns, producer Sarah Ashworth stopped by last weekend’s dinner.
