A Barre woman is accused of embezzling more than $15,000 from her employer.

As the bookkeeper for the Vermont All Terrain Vehicle Sportsman’s Association, 40-year-old Dana Starr is accused of forging club membership checks and depositing them into her personal bank account.

Police say she is also accused of unlawfully entering the VASA headquarters in Montpelier after she was fired and altering computer records to conceal the crime.

Starr has been cited to appear in court on Dec. 13. She faces charges of embezzlement, forgery, unauthorized access into a computer, access to a computer for fraudulent purposes, burglary and other charges.
