For generations, the Emily Post Institute in Burlington has worked to spread the message that good etiquette isn’t about strict and stuffy rules, rather it’s a way to convey respect and appreciation for the people you interact with in all kinds of settings.
Lizzie Post is co-author of the new book, "Great Get-Togethers: Casual Gatherings and Elegant Parties at Home." Tricia Post is an etiquette expert from the Emily Post Institute-and, as Lizzie’s mother, an inspiration for the book.
They spoke with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about making summer vacation as enjoyable as possible by being a good host, a good guest, and a good traveler this season.
