Bellamy pleads innocent to DUI charge

(Host) The former head of UNICEF has pleaded innocent to charges of driving under the influence.

Carol Bellamy was charged with DUI after she was stopped on her way back home from a restaurant in Townshend on January 28th.

Bellamy is the president of “World Learning” and the School for International Training in Brattleboro.

According to documents in Vermont District Court in Brattleboro, Bellamy was stopped by the Windham County Sheriff in Newfane, who said she was going 60 in a 30 mile-per-hour zone.

The officer reported that he smelled alcohol on her breath. She was found to have a blood alcohol level of .13.
