A teenager seriously injured in a Berlin car crash last week that killed the driver is said to be getting better at the hospital in Burlington.

Authorities say 15-year-old Joseph Taplin was injured in the Friday evening crash on Vermont Route 62 in which 16-year-old driver Christopher Chaloux was killed.

Taplin originally was listed in critical condition; yesterday his condition was rated as good.

A third youth in the car, 15-year-old Tyler Joslin, received only minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
