Authorities have recovered the body of a missing canoeist whose boat capsized on Lake Champlain nearly two weeks ago.
Twenty-one-year-old Phillip Patch of Swanton had been missing since his canoe overturned during a thunderstorm on June 10 near Highgate Springs.
The search for Patch was hampered by poor weather.
Authorities recovered his body Saturday about 400 yards from shore, not far from where the canoe had overturned.
