(Neal Charnoff) A new Vermont mystery novel tells the story of Sweeney St. George, a Boston art historian who becomes interested in an arts colony that flourished in nineteenth century Vermont. She goes in search of the artist who designed a gravestone for a girl who drowned mysteriously in 1890. But when a descendant of the girl is murdered, St. George realizes that her sleuthing has disturbed a killer.

Vermont author Sarah Stewart Taylor brings new life to the detective/mystery genre with her debut novel. Taylor is a graduate of Middlebury College, and currently a freelance journalist in Vermont. She joins us from our studio in Norwich.

Notes:
“O Artful Death” is published by St. Martin’s Minotaur. Taylor will be signing books at the Norwich Bookstore Wednesday, June 4 at 7:00 p.m. and at the Dartmouth Bookstore Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
