After a 40-year career as a foreign correspondent, reporter Christopher Wren left his office at the New York Times and walked home. Nothing unusual about that, except in this case, the homeward trek was 400 miles north to Vermont. Taking only what he could carry on his back, Wren made his way through the bustle of Harlem and New York City’s suburbs, and lived out a daydream which took him through five states in five weeks. Neal Charnoff talks with Wren about the book that recounts his adventures, “Walking to Vermont.”

Note:
“Walking to Vermont” is published by Simon and Schuster. Wren will be at the Norwich bookstore in Norwich Wednesday evening at 7.
