A Democratic state representative from New Haven is running for lieutenant governor.

Representative Christopher Bray says he will run on an economic development platform that focuses on farms, forests and food industries.

Bray says even a ten percent increase in jobs in those industries would add $500 million to the state’s economy.

Bray becomes the second Democrat to get into the lieutenant governor’s race. Representative Steve Howard of Rutland also is running.

Incumbent Lieutenant Governor Brian Dubie is not seeking re-election so he can run for governor.
