Burlington’s city council is expected to approve a plan this month that would allow an old power station on the city’s waterfront to be remodeled as the city’s new YMCA.
The plan would sell the Moran Generating Plant building to the Y for a dollar and lease the land to the Y for 99 years.
Mayor Peter Clavelle says he thinks the project can improve the waterfront by making big changes to what he terms a hulking eyesore of a building.
