The victim of a 2005 Burlington carbon monoxide poisoning claims one of the companies she sued hired a private detective to spy on her.

Ginger Aldrich asked the court to issue a temporary restraining order to stop the surveillance.

Aldrich is one of eight people suing the companies who built and maintained the Redstone Apartments and installed the heating boiler and pipe vent that malfunctioned. Aldrich suffered brain damage from the incident and spent a month in a coma.

Aldrich and her parents say that since they attended a deposition, a detective spied on their Waterford home and business, and even followed them in a car. The court filing says the surveillance has upset Aldrich.

The lead lawyer for New England Air Systems, Pietro Lynn, did not respond to messages requesting comment.
