A 96-room Mendon inn that closed last year after repeated outbreaks of Legionnaire’s disease is going to be sold at auction.

The auction comes a year after the owners of the Cortina Inn filed for bankruptcy.

The Cortina Inn was closed last June after repeated outbreaks of the bacteria that causes Legionnaire’s disease, a pneumonia-like illness.

At least three cases of the disease were linked to the inn.

The biggest stake holder in the Mendon property is GE Commercial Mortgage Corp., which is owed more than $10 million.

The auction is scheduled for May 29.
