The Colchester Police Department is moving, while its headquarters undergo renovation.

The police department will move from its office space on Blakely Road to Hercules Drive on Friday. The renovations are expected to be complete by Sept. 1.

Officials say dispatching services will also move into space in Colchester Rescue.

Police say the Hercules Drive address will house all police functions but will not necessarily be staffed at all times.

Visitors to the police station are asked to use a telephone in the foyer to speak with a dispatcher to arrange or meet with an official.
