A new collection of works dedicated to the life of Napoleon Bonaparte opens today at The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Most of these works come from the collection of
Ben Weider.

Weider, a native Montrealer, was well-known for his promotion of competitive bodybuilding.

But he also had a passion for all things Napoleon, and devoted much of his life to research and collecting personal effects.

Weider died suddenly last week at the age of 85.

VPR’s Shelley Pomerance went behind the scenes at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and joins us from Montreal.
