Congressional delegations call for more heating aid

Members of congressional delegations from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont are trying to get Washington to send more heating money to low income residents.

New Hampshire Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter says parents shouldn’t have to chose between buying food and keeping their families warm.

Congress is considering a bill called the “Keep Americans Warm Act of 2007,” which calls on the administration to spend one billion dollars more in home heating aid.
