Vermont police say an autopsy has confirmed that the body found off a back road in Barnet Monday is that of 33-year-old Melissa Jenkins.

Jenkins disappeared on Sunday while her 2-year-old-son was left unharmed in her idling car.

The Caledonian Record is reporting that police have made two arrests in the Jenkins case which has been ruled a homicide. The paper reports that police took Allen Prue and his wife Patricia Prue into custody late Tuesday night.

A shrine to Jenkins, who was a science teacher at the prestigious St. Johnsbury Academy, was set up in the entry to a main building at the school, and classes were cancelled on Tuesday.
