Former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean endorsed John Kerry for president at a rally at a university in the nation’s capital on Thursday.
Dean says his supporters can still make a difference in the general election. He says he’ll use his new organization, Democracy for America, to support Kerry and other Democratic candidates for office at all levels.
Kerry pledged to continue Dean’s “conversation with America” in his presidential campaign. He says even though he and Dean were rivals, they have a lot in common.
