Members of the U.S. House from Northern New England and New York State are asking the government to send money to a new commission to boost the region’s economy.
They wrote the Commerce Department on Thursday, asking for funding for the Northern Border Regional Commission that was established last year. The group’s goal is to help create jobs and boost the economy in northern reaches of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York.
