Vermont’s Democratic State Committee won’t be meeting with Progressive gubernatorial candidate Anthony Pollina until at least June.

So far, Pollina is the only candidate who has announced he will take on incumbent Republican Gov. Jim Douglas in November.

Pollina is seeking support from Democrats. The party does not have an announced candidate to run against Douglas.

Pollina had asked to address the 50-member committee at a meeting Saturday in Randolph.

The committee will consider at its June meeting whether to meet with Pollina.

Party officials say a Democratic candidate might have come forward by then.
