(Host) Voters in Dorset have a new town clerk. She’s Sandy Pinsonault, a Dorset resident who has worked for six years as assistant town clerk in Manchester.

Pinsonault replaces Denise Veillette, who held the town post for 22 years. Veillette had come under fire, following complaints of inconsistent record keeping and irregular office hours.

Pinsoneault says she’ll work for a smooth transition.

(Pinsonault) “My promise is to have accurate and consistent book keeping, be readily accessible for someone if they need to reach me after hours, my phone number is public. I’m going to serve the town of Dorset as efficiently as possible.”

(Host) Pinsonault was elected in a vote of 397 to 118.
