The campaign manager of Gov. Jim Douglas’s re-election victory is getting a new job.

Dennise Casey has been appointed to be the governor’s deputy chief of staff.

The governor says Casey’s new duties will include coordinating the administration’s legislative relations.

Douglas says he has every confidence in Casey and her ability to make the upcoming legislative session a success.

The 27-year-old Casey is a native of Starksboro and a 2003 graduate of the University of Vermont.

Casey has previously served as special assistant to the governor and secretary of Civil and Military Affairs.

She also managed the governor’s 2006 re-election campaign.
