Douglas leads candidates in fundraising

Gov. Jim Douglas is well ahead of the pack in fundraising as he seeks re-election to a fourth term.

In campaign finance reports filed Thursday, the Republican incumbent said he’s raised $942,000 to date, compared with Democrat Gaye Symington’s $350,000 and independent Anthony Pollina’s $167,000.

According to Douglas’ report, he’s spent $94,874 in the last month on media buys, consultation and production of TV commercials.
