Douglas meets with Tennessee governor on eHealth

Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas and his Tennessee counterpart Phil Bredesen will be meeting Friday in South Burlington to talk about information technology in health care.

The two governors are the co-chairs of the State Alliance for e-Health.

They will be joined at the meeting at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington by David Blumenthal, the national coordinator for Health Information Technology, which is a part of the agency of Health and Human Services.

Meeting topics include implementation of the Health Information Technology for the Economic and Clinical Health Act, which is part of the national recovery act.
