Governor Jim Douglas is going to be unveiling today the results of his “Set the Agenda” tour that asked Vermonters their opinions.

But he’s already talking about the results of his tour. Douglas says he’s more convinced than ever that Vermonters are overtaxed.

Douglas is going to outline formally his findings at the annual meeting of the Vermont Economic Development Authority.

An advance copy of his speech shows he’ll focus on taxes, an issue that’s been on his mind at least since he took office in 2003.

Douglas also wants lawmakers to focus this upcoming session on bringing more affordable housing to Vermont.

He says he only heard one person bring up the issue of global warming.
