Incumbent Lieutenant Governor Brian Dubie is running for a third term. The Republican announced his campaign at an event in his hometown of Essex Junction Thursday morning.
Dubie is an American Airlines pilot and he used his flying career to illustrate what he’s accomplished and what he still wants to do. Dubie says he has kept a logbook of his political career, just as he keeps one of his flights. He says his political logbook includes a nonpartisan tone as he presides over the state Senate, as well as work in homeland security, energy planning and healthy aging.
Dubie is the only Republican in the race. He faces Progressive Marvin Malek and the winner of a Democratic primary between John Tracy and Matt Dunne.
