The Vermont Agency of Education is hosting weekly community dinners around Vermont to discuss ways to develop and promote innovative ways for high schools to learn.

The dinners are for teachers, students, business leaders and community members to come together and share ideas.

The agency says those who attended a recent meeting identified other ways for students to earn high school credit such as creating and managing small businesses, community service and capstone projects.

The dinners are held on Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Next week’s dinner is at Missisquoi Valley Union Middle and High School in Swanton.

Other dinners will be in the coming weeks in Johnson, Montpelier and Brattleboro.

To register for a dinner, call (802) 828-0262.
