Enosburg Falls native killed near Tikrit

A North Carolina man who was a graduate of Enosburg Falls High School has been killed in Iraq. U.S. Army National Guard Staff Sergeant Michael Voss was serving with the First Battalion, 120th Infantry Regiment out of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Voss was the son of George Voss and stepson of Pam Voss of Enosburg. He lived in Carthage, North Carolina, with his wife and two children. Voss was killed Friday near Tikrit when his convoy was hit by an explosive and small-arms fire.
