Ethan Allen president talks about succeeding in global economy

The CEO of Ethan Allen furniture says the company has opted for smaller profits rather than moving all its factories to other parts of the world.

Farooq Kathwari spoke to Vermont manufacturers yesterday.

He says the company decided it made more sense to control their own destiny even if it meant lower margins.  

Kathwari says the company has had to reinvent itself several times to compete in the global economy.

Kathwari says the best way to compete is to add to products rather than by making cheaper products.
