Officials at the Fairbanks Scales plant in Saint Johnsbury say they may need to hire replacement workers. Roughly 70 workers went on strike ten days ago in a dispute over pensions, wage issues and health insurance.

Officials at the plant say temporary replacements have been brought in and some business has been moved to a plant in Mississippi. The president of the local union says he considers the talk of replacements a bullying tactic.
