Farmers convert cheese factory into yogurt operation

A group of dairy farmers is going to start making yogurt in a former cheese factory in Newbury. Vermont Quality Dairies will produce whole milk yogurt from Vermont farms to be sold at natural food stores. Vermont Quality President John Cole of Newbury says the farmers decided the best way to help themselves is to make a value-added product like yogurt. Nineteen farmers have invested in the operation.
