Feds questioning Brown sympathizers

Federal marshals are interviewing people around New Hampshire and the rest of the country as they search for anyone suspected of plotting violence in retaliation for the arrests of tax evaders Ed and Elaine Brown.

In Manchester, marshals have questioned several members of the Free State Project, a group of small-government activists that includes Brown supporters.

While refusing to surrender after his conviction, Ed Brown made repeated threats against federal agents and said he had a hit list of more than 50 people whose lives would be in danger if something happened to him.

U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier said agents are reviewing any threats and are interviewing people throughout the country.
