A wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins has pleaded innocent to charges of assaulting a ticket agent at the Burlington International Airport in October. Twenty-six-year-old David Boston is accused of striking a US Air customer service agent in the face.

According to a court papers, Boston told police the ticket agent had caused him to miss his flight and had spit in his face. The US Air employee says the flight was running late and he had urged Boston to hurry to the plane but he took his time. The ticket agent says he then decided to not let Boston board the plane.

Boston, who has missed the season because of a knee injury, had been rehabilitating in Vermont where he had knee surgery.
