Former State Auditor Randy Brock is running for office again this fall, but he’s not going to try to get his old job back.

Brock says he’s going to run as a Republican for a Franklin County state Senate seat.

He will be running against two Democrats.

Two years ago Brock lost the auditor’s office to Tom Salmon after a recount by 102 votes.

Salmon is serving with the Naval reserve and is headed to Afghanistan. Salmon will not be able to campaign actively for re-election.

Franklin County’s two Democratic Senator Don Collins and Sara Kittell say they both plan to seek re-election.
