A 37-year-old Savoy, Massachusetts, man could be released from prison soon after admitting in court that he molested two boys in Island Pond more than a decade ago.
Thirty-seven-year-old John Thomas pleaded guilty yesterday in Guildhall and was sentenced to 16 months in prison, but he has already been in custody that long.
The former member of the Twelve Tribes Community Church in Island Pond is expected to leave Vermont to join his family in Wisconsin.
Thomas’s two victims appeared in court today in Guildhall.
One of the victims said Thomas was one person he really trusted.
The Twelve Tribes Church later banished Thomas.
