State Sen. Doug Racine is considering another race against Republican Gov. Jim Douglas.

The former lieutenant governor narrowly lost the 2002 election to Douglas 42 percent to 45 percent in a three-way race.

The Chittenden County Democrat says he hasn’t made up his mind yet but is thinking about running again after being encouraged by friends.

Senate Majority Leader John Campbell of Quechee, former state Sen. Matt Dunne of Hartland and Peter Galbraith of Townshend, a former ambassador to Croatia, are other possible Democratic candidates.
