The federal government is seeking the forfeiture of a Burlington fraternity house for alleged drug dealing by its members.

Police say several members of the Lambda Iota fraternity and the house manager regularly sold cocaine from the fraternity house between the spring of 2006 and April of 2007.

Police searched the house at 440 Pearl Street on April 27 and arrested two fraternity members who were also students at the University of Vermont.

A third individual was arrested on charges of bringing the drugs to Burlington from out of state.

The U.S. attorney’s office on Friday filed a civil complaint seeking forfeiture of the fraternity house.
