A funeral will be held Saturday for a Hardwick soldier killed last week in Iraq.
Christopher Merchant was killed last Wednesday when two rocket propelled grenades hit the stationary, armored Humvee he was in.
Two New Hampshire Guard soldiers were wounded in the same attack.
In civilian life, Merchant was a custodian at the Peoples Academy in Morrisville.
The service will be held at eleven o’clock at People’s Academy.
