(Host) The General Dynamics plant in Burlington has gotten more work from the U.S. Army.

The company’s Armament and Technical Products division was awarded a contract extension worth more than $107 million.

The Burlington factory will oversee production of “reactive armor” for Bradley Fighting Vehicles.

“Reactive armor” is a layer of tiles applied to the vehicles to protect soldiers from rocket-propelled grenades.

Bradleys are used widely in Iraq and Afghanistan.
