One of Vermont’s biggest business success stories of recent years is expanding — to Tennessee.

Waterbury-based Green Mountain Coffee Roasters plans to buy a manufacturing plant in Knoxville for $10 million.

The company says the new manufacturing capacity will allow it to enter new markets for its products.

But Green Mountain officials say the coffee roaster will keep its facilities in Vermont, and hope to grow in their home state as well.
