Former Vermont Corrections Commissioner John Gorczyk is still working in the field to which he’s dedicated nearly 30 years. Gorczyk is now the manager of an offender work program and he’s trying to develop an updated offender classification system.
He says he’s thrilled to be out of the commissioner’s office and doing staff work again. Since the change in administration, five former top officials have returned to regular state jobs.
