Group plans July 4 “Tea Party” rallies

Earlier this year, people in some cities around the country took to the streets to protest higher taxes. On April 15th, tax day, two Vermont towns hosted anti-tax rallies. Organizers say they’re fed up with both state and federal government spending. And tomorrow, they’ll be back.

On Independence Day, there will be six tea parties in Vermont. Jon Wallace is the state’s coordinator of "Tea Party Patriots." Wallace says he doesn’t know how many people will turn out for the events, but he says they’re all rallying for the same thing.
