A public hearing has been set for next week on a plan by the Vermont Department of Mental Health to set up a new eight-bed community recovery residence in Westford.
Officials say the program is intended to serve individuals stepping down from a hospital placement but who still experience a higher level of clinical need that requires a more intensive residential placement.
The hearing is scheduled for Nov. 12 at the Howard Center in Burlington.
It’s to be hosted by a committee appointed by the Department of Mental Health to review the application and develop recommendations.
